David is a mathematical modeller, broadcaster, and author, contributing to outlets including the Guardian, Scientific American, New York Times, and BBC. His research focuses on public understanding of science and research integrity, and he is a Retraction Watch Sleuth in Residence. He was recipient of the 2014 Nature/Sense about Science John Maddox Prize for standing up for science and is an elected fellow of the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry, and is author of "Good Thinking: Why flawed logic puts us all at risk and how critical thinking can save the world" (The Experiment, 2021)
