Omar is Assistant Director at NYU Langone Health's Office of Research Integrity and Compliance. He supports the RIO in research misconduct and noncompliance investigations, as well as research security, export controls, data and biospecimen use and management, and risk assessments. He also serves as a member of NYU Langone's IACUC and IBC. Prior to NYU Langone, Omar worked at Weill Cornell Medicine as Assistant Research Integrity Officer and managed their conflicts of interest and export control compliance programs. He received his JD from Brooklyn Law School.
