                                                    In her capacity as Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for  Research and Creative Activities, Ann Pollack serves as the  campus point of contact and subject matter expert on a broad range of research-related policy and research-compliance issues and provides support for the campus Research Integrity Officer in responding to allegations of research misconduct.  She is also the Interim Director of  Research Policy and Compliance, a unit of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research responsible for developing UCLA research-related policies and guidance, convening and supporting campus committees that conduct regulatory reviews to ensure research safety and animal welfare, and managing conflicts of interest in research.  RPC also serves as the administratiave home for the UCLA Export Control program and  issues related to undue foreign influence.  
A graduate of Douglass College (Rutgers University) with a major in Political Science, she holds Masters Degrees from the University of Michigan, and from Simmons University and completed the Executive Program in Academic Healthcare Management at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Ann spent most of her career at UCLA. She has served on several non-profit boards, and was UCLA's primary representative to the Council on Governmental Relations (COGR). She is a member of the American Association of Medical Colleges Forum on Conflict of Interest in Academe (FOCI), the Association of Research Integrity Officers (ARIO), and the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA).
