Jerry Engel has been at the University of Miami (UM) investigating research misconduct cases since 2003. He grew up in New York, attended Emory University in Atlanta, and law school at UM. After a brief swim in the professional legal waters of Miami, he found a home at UM and the world of research compliance. Along with research misconduct matters, he supports export control, human subjects and animal welfare investigations and has worked extensively in research conflict of interest.
