Sheryl Johnson is the Director of Research Compliance Services, a division of Research Integrity in the Office of the Vice President for Research & Innovation at the University of Oregon. Sheryl oversees UO's human research protections program, responsible conduct of research, and matters of research integrity. Sheryl became UO's Research Integrity Officer (RIO) in July of 2020 and has been at UO since 2011. Prior to joining UO, Sheryl worked in the Office of Research at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center for 7 years, including serving as the interim director of the Human Research Protections Office. Sheryl has almost 25 years of experience in human subject research protections and research integrity, holding her MS in Research Administration and Compliance and is a Certified IRB Professional (CIP).
