Description
Among the most impactful changes to the revised 42 CFR 93 are the newly defined standards for intent—intentionally, knowingly, and recklessly. This session will explore the implications of these revised definitions, including how each term is now formally defined in the regulation, the evidentiary thresholds institutions should consider to support findings of misconduct, practical examples illustrating how these definitions may apply in real-world investigations, and the potential impact on institutional policies, training, and oversight responsibilities.
