Dr. Courtney Karmelita, D.Ed., is Chief of Staff for Penn State’s Office for Research Protections, Research Integrity Officer, and Executive Director of Ethical Research and Outreach. She oversees Quality Assurance, Research Integrity, and Education and Outreach Programs, and helps to lead AI literacy and responsible use initiatives across Penn State. She also oversees data management and sharing compliance to advance data stewardship practices in the University research community. Her recent work includes co-leading a grant from ORI, assisting with updates to the ORI Boot Camp curriculum, and developing training and workshops for PRIM&R and CITI.
