Dusty is the Assistant Vice President for Research Compliance and Integrity, and serves as the Research Integrity Officer at the University of South Alabama. Dusty oversees the institution’s research compliance programs, including research misconduct and integrity, responsible conduct of research, research conflict of interest, human subject’s research, clinical trials support/education, animal care and use and biological safety. She is responsible for related policy and program developments and improvements, policy enforcement, promoting ethical science, and addressing compliance issues in a sensitive and service-oriented manner. These efforts involve ensuring seamless operations of the research integrity functions and compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and industry regulations for university research. Dusty received both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Alabama.
