Dr. Carruthers is currently the Senior Director of the Office of Research Compliance and Senior Research Integrity Officer at The Ohio State University. In August, she celebrated 23 years at Ohio State. Prior to starting her career in research compliance, she spent the first 8 years at Ohio State researching the host response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This led to her role as the Biosafety Level 3 Operations Manager and service as the institutional biosafety officer. She has been with the Office of Research Compliance for 6 and a half years and in her current role as Senior Director for almost two years.
