Heather Mc Fadden, PhD is a Compliance Manager at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She has a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis in Higher Education with deep expertise in research compliance. This extensive compliance portfolio includes Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR), Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and Stem Cell Research Oversight. Dr. Mc Fadden has developed federally responsive RCR curricula, led policy analysis and implementation, and collaborated with peer institutions to strengthen national understanding of Responsible Conduct of Research. She contributes actively to the Big Ten Academic Alliance (BTAA) RCR Collaborative, the Associate of Research Integrity Officers (ARIO) RCR interest Group, and the Online Ethics Center’s (OEC- SEAFRI) Community of Practice advancing best practices in RCR education.
